Trying new stuff is scary.

Trying new, unproven stuff is even scarier.

So, when first building something, we need to stack the odds in our favour.

The value we provide needs to be so much larger than the price we charge that people think “sure, why not?”

Overdeliver first. Optimise second.

In the first instance, this hurts scalability.

But there’s zero point worrying about scaling until you’ve actually made a sale.
