The world is rough.
From the comfort of our air-conditioned houses, it's easy to forget just how bad things can get.
But history hasn't forgotten.
It remembers the famines, and the plagues, and the wars.
Humans have built incredible shelters (both physical and intellectual) to protect us from the harshness of nature.
But we shouldn't confuse the safety of our homes with the safety of the world.
Stability is the exception, not the rule. Without strong priorities, we have no hope of survival.
Which leads us to something even more terrifying.
